Stevenson Fine Art Stevenson Fine Art
is a gallery dedicated to presenting the finest in contemporary art in
the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, a district known for nurturing emerging
artistic talent. We are also experienced with Artist Family Estates and specialize in curating inventory for promotion to Museums. Through our international network we offer art collection advisory with networks in New York, Los Angeles, Peru, London, Beijing, and Zurich. We can provide fine art shipping, cleaning and restoration, Framing, storage, from our new 5000 sq. ft. Brooklyn facility. Neil Stevenson is a painter and art dealer representing a select number of artists. Neil’s first gallery was in the former studio of 1930’s street photographer Weegee at 5 Center Market Place in Chinatown/Little Italy from 1998-2001. Since 2002, Neil Stevenson Fine art LLC settled in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, operating out of a commercial space opposite Schroeder-Romero Gallery (one of the first) and now the storefront location 112-114 South 1st street. Neil Stevenson studied art history and business management at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, while at McGill he studied classical painting techniques with a local Atelier, further continuing his studies with Washington, DC painter Robert Liberace, the Arts Students League and the New School in Manhattan. Since 1998, Neil Stevenson has worked for a variety of Galleries, artists, Collectors and Institutions. Photography dealer Robert Mann Gallery, Ross Bleckner’s studio, Photographer Joel Meyerowitz studio, Parisian art dealer Alexandre de Folin, assistant to Annette Schindler at the Swiss Institute and finally starting his own Company Neil Stevenson Fine Art LLC in 2002. Neil has exhibited at most Scope Emerging Art Fairs, and gives VIP art advisory tours of most International art fairs such as ArtBasel in Switzerland and Art:Basel Miami . Apart form the active secondary market dealings, Neil Stevenson has held inventory in the following living artists, primarily painters; Dieter Roth, Howard Hodgkin, Ken Price, Patrick Caulfield, Sol leWitt, Christoph Schmidberger, Atilla Richard Lukacs, James Rosenquist, Ilya Kabakov, Paolo Arao, Robert Longo, Damien Loeb, Frank Stella, Roy Lerner, Larry Poons, Stephen Bush, Elizabeth Strong- Cuevas, Vonn Cummings Sumner, and David Michalek. We are especially
proud of our Landmark achievment on behalf of Gallery artists. In 2003-2004,
Neil Stevenson LLC produced a Museum show for Photographer David Michalek’s
Installtion : Fourteen Stations of the Cross (Review Art in America, November
2005) Mr. Michalek’s first ever art market show was with us at the
Scope Fairs. Painter, Stephen Bush represented at the Scope Art Fairs
in New York, Miami and LA 2003-2004 is now represented by Chelsea Gallery
Goff&Rosenthall. Neil Stevenson was Stephen Bush’s first American
Gallery. Roy Lerner, Vonn Cummings Sumner both have been with the gallery
since 2002, their paintings have been placed with several significant
Museum Trustee Collections.
