2006, Brooklyn, NY -- The Sams, a performance event pro-duced
by an anonymous Brooklyn/San Francisco based artist, known only as The
Organizer, posits the following: what would be the effect of taking the
most ubiquitous figure in Art Basel Miami Beach and dupli-cating him –
cloning him, as it were, and releasing his clones into the night to create
multiple incidences of art world confusion, specu-lation and adulation
across South Beach?
The project will kickoff at an early evening reception* for The Sams at
Fountain Miami on Thursday, December 7th, 7 – 8pm, and will be followed
by a mobile performance appearing at the night’s major parties.
If you’re anyone who’s anyone, you can’t miss it.
Catch The Sams again at Fountain Miami’s official opening: Friday,
December 8th . 7pm – midnight. Fountain Miami 2825 NW 2nd Avenue
